March 16, 2021 Update

Dear C&F Customer,

Many Virginians will receive a stimulus payment with the government’s passage of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. We understand how important these payments are for some of our customers and we want to help you be well-informed about them. Here are a few helpful tips:

  • Stimulus payments will begin on March 17, 2021 and will continue for several weeks. If you’ve given the Treasury Department your account information for tax returns, you’ll most likely be getting your payment into your account electronically. If you haven’t, you’ll likely receive a check.
  • Is my payment already in my account? Use our C&F Mobile App or C&F Online Banking if you’re receiving your payment electronically to see pending deposits. If yours is coming electronically, you’ll see it there first.
  • If your payment’s coming as a check, you can deposit it using our C&F Mobile Banking app or at any C&F ATM or branch with locations listed at cffc.com.
  • To our former Peoples Community Bank customers: if the Treasury Department has your former Peoples account and routing number on file, your stimulus payment will be routed directly to your current C&F Bank account.
  • Where can I find information about eligibility, payment amounts, payment delivery and timing for this payment? We encourage you to go directly to IRS.gov/EIP where you'll find details as they are available. With their Get My Payment tool you can confirm your eligibility and if eligible, get details on how you'll receive your payment and the date it's scheduled to be deposited or mailed.
