C&F Gives Back – YMCA Early Learning Center

At C&F, we believe in making a positive impact in our community. One of the ways we do this is through our volunteer efforts and donations to local organizations. Recently, we had the pleasure of supporting the YMCA Early Learning Center, a program dedicated to providing school readiness for primarily low-income youth ages 0-5.

The mission of the YMCA Early Learning Center is to prepare children to meet kindergarten readiness benchmarks and support the economic self-sufficiency of area families. This aligns perfectly with our values at C&F, as we strive to empower individuals and families in our community.

During the months of March and April, our team of volunteers contributed 11 hours of their time to the YMCA Early Learning Center. In addition to our volunteer efforts, we made a monetary donation of $1,000 and provided 25 new toys for the children. Our volunteers enjoyed spending time with the children, playing outside, and participating as readers in the classrooms.

Jasmyne Johnson, Senior Director of the YMCA Early Learning Center, expressed her gratitude for our partnership, saying, We have thoroughly enjoyed partnering with C&F and having their wonderful volunteers in our classrooms. The children have loved playing with them outside and having them as mystery readers. We are excited to be able to use the donation towards a scholarship that will allow another child to be able to get a high-quality early childcare experience.
