At C&F Bank, we believe a strong community starts with supporting the children and families who call it home. That's why we were proud to partner with Spreading Smiles as our Gives Back organization during July and August.
Spreading Smiles is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families in Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties through programs that provide weekend meal bags, school supplies, gifts, clothing, and other essential resources year-round. Their mission is simple but powerful: to create stability, opportunity, and hope for every child they serve.
Through our Gives Back partnership, C&F employees, customers, and community members came together to make a meaningful difference for local children through the organization's Kicks for Kids program.
Together, we proudly contributed:
"C&F Bank's incredible donation of 350 pairs of brand-new shoes, along with a $1,000 financial contribution, will have an immediate impact on children in our community. Because we are able to purchase new shoes for approximately $10 a pair, their financial gift will provide about 100 additional pairs, bringing the total impact of their support to approximately 450 pairs of shoes for local children. A new pair of shoes may seem simple, but for a child who needs them, it can mean comfort, confidence, and the opportunity to walk into school feeling proud. We are so grateful to C&F Bank for believing in our Kicks for Kids program and helping us create smiles for so many children."
The success of this partnership is a testament to the generosity of our employees, customers, and community members who stepped up to support local children as they prepare for a new school year. Every shoe donated, every dollar contributed, and every volunteer hour invested helps create brighter opportunities for children and families throughout our region.
